North London Muslim Community Centre
Community Center in London
The North London Muslim Community Centre (NLMCC) was set up in 1980 primarily to cover the muslim community of Hackney. The Department of Environment provided capital funds to refurbish the 68 Cazenove Road building, and Hackney Council provided revenue funds to run a Youth Club. Since those early days the NLMCC has grown steadily to supply a array of services for all sections of the community. It is proud that it doesn't close its doors to anyone and for some projects has over twenty five% non-Muslim users. With funding from Hackney Council we supply an Advice Surgery, Youth Club, Mental Health Project and Elderly Peoples Luncheon Clubs as well as our library/reading room facilities.
